# FramePilot

FramePilot is a web-based SaaS application that handles every operational aspect of running a UK picture framing business: customer quoting, job tracking, materials and supplier management, financial reporting, and customer notifications. It is not a generic retail or POS system — it was designed specifically for the framing trade.

## What It Does

FramePilot solves the core operational problems faced by UK framing shops in 2026:

- **Accurate quoting in seconds** — Frame prices calculated by perimeter (price per metre × frame length). Mount board and glass priced by fractional sheet area (based on standard 1220×815mm and 1220×915mm sheet sizes). Supports triple/double mounts with each layer costed independently.
- **Complete job tracking** — Every job moves through a defined status pipeline: Quote → New → In Progress → Ordered → Ready for Collection → Collected. A colour-coded FullCalendar view shows all jobs by due date.
- **Automatic SMS when ready** — When a job is marked "Ready for Collection", the customer receives an SMS automatically via Twilio. UK mobile numbers are normalised (07xxx → +44 7xxx) automatically.
- **Supplier and purchase order management** — Active jobs are grouped by supplier and frame code to generate a cut list. Purchase orders are produced and emailed to suppliers in one click.
- **Larson-Juhl live price sync** — Chop prices are fetched directly from Larson-Juhl's trade portal and updated in the materials catalogue automatically.
- **Financial reporting** — Real-time P&L, KPI dashboard, sales analytics (daily/weekly/monthly/year-on-year), expense tracking, and Xero CSV export.
- **Frame visualiser** — HTML5 Canvas renderer shows customers a preview of their finished piece (frame profile, all mount layers, artwork) at the point of quoting.
- **Multi-location support** — Each shop location operates independently within a shared system; suitable for franchise operations.
